Abstract

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is common in southern China. The purpose of our studies was first to find simple and sensitive techniques that can be conveniently applied in the high-risk NPC areas for the early detection of NPC, and second to clarify the role of Epstein-Barr (EB) virus, environmental, and genetic factors in the development of NPC.
