Abstract
A cDNA transcript of 729 bp in length coding for Urechis caupo F-I globin has been cloned. The coding region has been completely sequenced. Northern and Southern blot analysis indicate that there may be several genes coding for mRNA transcripts of nearly identical size. This could account for the heterogeneity observed in the hemoglobin.
