Zusammenfassung

Wenn es darum geht, Belastungsreaktionen des kranken Kindes zu verstehen, ist es zunächst erforderlich, sich mit den normalen, d. h. den physiologischen Belastungsreaktionen, vertraut zu machen. Beim Kind kommt es zu ähnlichen physiologischen Veranderungen wie beim Erwachsenen, wenn es sich Einzelbelastungen oder wiederholten Belastungsreizen anzupassen hat. Obwohl in jedem Lebensabschnitt solche Belastungsanpassungen stattfinden, so bestehen doch — und dies soil im vorliegenden Abschnitt grundsätzlich herausgearbeitet werden — Unterschiede in der Reizantwort auf körperliche Anstrengungen in Abhängigkeit vom Wachstum und von der Entwicklung. Ein 6jähriges Kind wird nicht ebenso schnell laufen können wie ein Jugendlicher, der seinerseits wiederum einem jungen Erwachsenen unterliegt. Die Muskelkraft eines Kindes wird geringer sein als nach Abschluß des individuellen Reifungsprozesses. Andererseits ist die Erholungsfähigkeit bei Kindern größBer als bei Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen, sie sind nach einer vorausgegangenen Belastung rascher wieder einsatzfähig.
