Fibrin Sealant in Operative Medicine

Abstract

This work presents our experience of using fibrin sealant at the II Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Clinic of Parma University. The use of biological fibrin sealant began in the second half of 1981; the cases considered include 512 middle ear surgery operations and 94 otoneurosurgeries performed by 31 March 1985. For each type of operation, the modes of use and the application points are examined.

Furthermore, the results relative to two homogeneous groups of cases are reported.
