Abstract
It is natural to begin the study of those aspects of the theory of boundary value problems that are of interest here with a rather detailed discussion of a number of properties of ordinary differential equations. In the first place, ordinary differential Operations are the simplest entities in the theory in which we are interested that can, in many respects, be studied exhaustively. In the second place, the fundamental kind of Operators that are of interest in what follows will be Operators that act on tensor products ℍ0ℍ1⨂…⨂ℍ (Chapter IV) and are constructed from mutually commuting operators L k : ℍ k → ℍ k Here the material for the construction of L k will be ordinary differential Operators that have properties depending on the boundary conditions that enter into their definitions.
