Zusammenfassung
Pulmonale Komplikationen gehören zu den Hauptursachen postoperativer Morbidität und Mortalität [17]. Die Angaben über die Häufigkeit pulmonaler Infektionen nach Oberbaucheingriffen schwanken zwischen 5% und 70%, wobei in Übersichtsarbeiten meist eine Zahl von ca. 20% genannt wird [6]. Als Hauptdeterminanten für das Auftreten pulmonaler Komplikationen werden genannt:

Eingriffe im Thorax und oberen Abdomen,
-
vorbestehende respiratorische Insuffizienz (z. B. chronisch-obstruktive Atemwegserkrankungen),
-
Übergewicht (über 120 kg),
-
Alter (über 70 Jahre),
-
Raucheranamnese,
-
Operationsdauer über 4 h,
-
Massentransfusion.
