Tierexperimente sind für die Entwicklung und Erprobung von invasiven Behandlungsmethoden, die später am Menschen angewendet werden sollen, in aller Regel eine unerläßliche Voraussetzung. Dies gilt in besonderem Maße für extrakorporale Blutzirkulation mit Herzlungenmaschinen.
