Zusammenfassung
Die sog. „Nacktmaus“ entstand 1962 als eine spontane Mutation in einem Albinomäusestamm [8]. Mit der Haarlosigkeit untrennbar verbunden ist eine Thymusaplasie [11]. Damit wurde die Nacktmaus für die Immunologie ein ausgezeichnetes Modell zur Erforschung der Thymusfunktion. Für die Tumorforschung wurden durch das Wachstum von xenogenen Tumoren neue Möglichkeiten eröffnet. Die erste erfolgreiche Transplantation eines menschlichen Kolonkarzinoms in die Nacktmaus wurde 1969 durchgeführt [14].
