Zusammenfassung

Die zerebrovaskuläre Insuffizienz ist mit 14,3% die dritthäufigste Todesursache in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Bei etwa 80% der Patienten liegt eine Arterioskleorse der großen zuführenden Arterien und/oder größerer intrakranieller Gefäße vor. Prädüektionsstelle ist die Bifurkation der A. carotis communis.
