Abstract
Shortly after the introduction of abdominal computed tomography (CT), its value as a noninvasive adrenal imaging technique became apparent. Normal-sized adrenal glands could be imaged in 85%–99% of patients and virtually all adrenal masses larger than 1.0 cm in diameter were routinely demonstrated [1–4]. CT successfully characterized a variety of adrenal abnormalities and became the imaging procedure of choice to guide fine needle adrenal biopsies [5–14].
