Practical Problems of Discography
Discography consists of introducing contrast material into the intervertebral disc by discal puncture. Discography involves practical problems especially for the usual transmuscular, extradural, posterolateral approach. The others approaches must be abandonned: the transdural posterior approach, which may lead to a postspinal puncture syndrome, and the lateral approach, for its colic puncture danger.
