Abstract
The technique of needle penetration in lumbar discs has been proposed by this author, first with a view to discography (and corticoid injection if necessary) (1970–1976), and second, from 1976 to the present concerning discography as well as nucleolysis. Nearly 2500 discs have been treated by this currently wellcodified technique.
