Zusammenfassung

Die Salpingektomie gilt seit 1884, nachdem Tait diese Notoperation zum ersten Mal bei einer Tubargravidität durchführte, als eine weltweit anerkannte Behandlungsmethode. Obwohl bereits 10 Jahre später Prochownik (1894) über eine Frau berichtete, bei der durch eine konservative Operation der Eileiter erhalten werden konnte, blieb dieser Anstoß zunächst ohne großen allgemeinen Anklang. Er blieb für längere Zeit in Vergessenheit.
