Abstract
Segments in GKS-3D differ from those in GKS in that they contain exclusively 3D primitives and their attributes. As far as segment generation and manipulation is concerned, the functions of Chapter III.7 apply. For the transformation of segments, two new functions SET SEGMENT TRANSFORMATION 3 and INSERT SEGMENT 3 are provided, which extend the functionality of the respective GKS functions by accepting 3 × 4 transformation matrices rather than 2 × 3 matrices as in the case of 2D. The extended transformation matrix has to be recorded in the segment state list.
