Zusammenfassung

Der labile oder Brittle-Diabetes ist durch einen absoluten Insulinmangel, wechselnde Insulinempfindlichkeit, erhebliche Hyperglyk-ämien mit Ketoseneigung einerseits sowie eine Tendenz zu schweren Hypoglykämien andererseits charakterisiert. Die ausgeprägten, meist nicht vorhersehbaren BZ-Schwankungen treten sowohl im Laufe eines Tages als auch von einem zum anderen Tag auf (s. Abb. 17).
