Zusammenfassung

Der Diabetes kann praktisch jeden Abschnitt des Verdauungstrakts affizieren, in erster Linie durch funktionelle Störungen als Folge einer autonomen Neuropathie (s.11.4). Zum Teil sind die Auswirkungen gravierend, wie im Bereich des Magens und Dünndarms, zum Teil bleiben sie klinisch weitgehend stumm, wie die Motilitätsstörungen des Ösophagus und der Gallenblase.
