Zusammenfassung

Trotz der weiten Verbreitung der Anti-D-Prophylaxe seit den frühen 70er Jahren verursacht der M. hämolyticus neonatorum immer noch mindestens 50 intrauterine oder neonatale Todesfälle pro Jahr allein in England und Wales. Ein vollständiges Verschwinden dieses Krankheitsbildes ist jedoch auch unwahrscheinlich, da manche Patientinnen im Verlauf ihrer ersten Schwangerschaft sensibilisiert werden, wieder andere durch fehlerhaft gekreuzte Bluttransfusionen, unzureichende Anti-D-Gaben bei großen fetomaternalen Blutungen oder durch Sensibilisierung gegen andere Antigene [23]. Das gegenwärtige Vorsorgeprogramm kann nicht verhindern, daß 600–700 Rh(D)-negative Frauen jährlich in Großbritannien immunisiert werden.
