Zusammenfassung
Bei aller Vielfalt der klinischen Erscheinungen kann das Chondrosarkom im Hinblick auf Rezidivneigung und Metastasierungstendenz zu den malignen Tumoren mit relativ günstiger Prognose gezählt werden. Es hat sich dabei gezeigt, daß das Auftreten von Rezidiven in erster Linie von der Radikalität des durchgeführten chirurgischen Eingriffs abhängt (Barnes u. Catto 1966; Dahlin u. Henderson 1956; Evans et al. 1977; Henderson u. Dahlin 1963; Higinbothan 1966; Lindbom et al. 1961; Marcove u. Huvos 1971; Marcove et al. 1972; Peltier 1966; Romsdahl et al. 1976). Der Malignitätsgrad des Tumors spielt hingegen eine mehr untergeordnete Rolle (Gitelis et al. 1981; Sanerkin u. Gallagher 1979).
