Abstract

When a young athlete who has previously suffered a knee injury complains of recurrent episodes of giving way during physical activity, a careful history including type of injury, first symptoms of disability and the onset of swelling plus a careful examination including all tests can point to a serious or moderate instability of the knee in a patient at high risk.
