Alkohol und Hirnatrophie

Zusammenfassung

Unter dem Begriff einer Atrophie versteht die Allgemeine Pathologie den Verlust an Volumen bzw. Masse, also eine Verkleinerung entweder von Zellen oder von Geweben oder Organen. Übertragen wir dies auf das Hirngewebe Alkoholsüchtiger, so können wir hier unterscheiden eine einfache Atrophie einzelner Rinden-Nervenzellen (Abb.1), eine Atrophie größerer Rindenabschnitte — hier entweder als Atrophie der Großhirnrinde (Abb.2) oder des Vorderwurms des Kleinhirns (Abb.3u.4) oder auch eine Atrophie des ganzen Organs (Abb.5).
