Endolymphatic Radionuclide Therapy (ELRT) in Malignant Melanoma of the Lower Extremities

Abstract

Metastatic malignant melanoma of the lower extremities is known to spread early via the lymphatic route. Lymph node metastases are considered to be rather resistant to ionizing radiation, thus requiring high radiation doses, which can only be applied by endolymphatic radiotherapy.
