Abstract
One working session was devoted to identification of interdisciplinary problems and selection of appropriate methods. This was due to the recognition that a systems approach is needed, involving close cooperation between oceanographic disciplines, and development of holistic concepts. Three working groups were established, to deal with 1) Estuaries and fjords, 2) Marginal seas, 3) Coastal currents.
