Gastrointestinal Lymphomas

  • Chapter
Radiology of Lymphomas

Abstract

The digestive tract, liver, spleen, biliary tract, and pancreas can all be affected by lymphomas. Barium studies remain useful for investigation of the digestive tract. The radiological features suggestive of lymphoma prior to histological confirmation, which remains indispensable, have been compiled from the extensive data in the many relevant studies published on the subject. By contrast, not even the most recent radiological techniques appear to have improved the efficacy of imaging in detecting lymphomas of the spleen or liver.
