Abstract

The concept of Positive Family Therapy is based on the view that every human, without exemption, possesses two basic capabilities: the ability for knowing (cognition) and the ability for loving. Both capabilities belong to the essential nature of every person. Depending on the circumstances surrounding his body, his environment, and the times (and the spirit of the times) he lives in, these basic capabilities will become differentiated and thus lead to an unmistakable structure of character traits.

You are the fruits of one tree and the leaves of one branch.

—From the Baha’i faith
