Zusammenfassung
Basierend auf den Arbeiten Cannons und Selyes definieren wir den chirurgischen Eingriff als eine Störung der Homöostase des Organismus, der er mit einer Adaptationsreaktion begegnet [5, 15, 17]. Diese Reaktion ist unspezifisch — d.h. unabhängig von der Art der Aggression —, systemisch — d.h., alle Organsysteme sind beteiligt —, sie ist unökonomisch — d.h., Adaptationsreaktion und Schwere des Traumas stehen nur in gewissem Grade in Relation - und katabol — d.h., Energiedeckung rangiert vor Strukturerhaltung.
