Zusammenfassung

Am Bronchialkarzinom sterben jährlich mehr Menschen als an jeder anderen Krebsform [2]; während beim Mann die Sterblichkeitsziffer in den letzten Jahren — regional unterschiedlich — ein Plateau zu erreichen scheint, steigen beim weiblichen Geschlecht die Zahlen rapide an — in den letzten Jahren um 200% [2, 5].
