Zusammenfassung

Die Doppler-echokardiographischen Techniken ermöglichen es auf direktem, nichtinvasivem Wege Blutflußgeschwindigkeiten zu erfassen; beim gepulsten Betrieb innerhalb eines fest umschriebenen Meßvolumens, beim kontinuierlichen Betrieb entlang des gesamten Ultraschallstrahls ohne Festlegung eines genauen Meßortes. Blutvolumina bzw. Blutflußraten können nicht direkt gemessen werden.
