Zusammenfassung
Ältere und herzkranke Patienten besitzen im Vergleich zu jüngeren herzgesunden Patienten ein deutlich erhöhtes Operationsrisiko: insbesondere kardiale Komplikationen, wie Infarkte bzw. eine akute Herzinsuffizienz im Rahmen einer Ischämie, sind dabei für die überdurchschnittlich hohe perioperative Mortalität verantwortlich (Del Guericio u. Cohn 1980; Gage et al. 1977; Weathers u. Paine 1981).
