Zusammenfassung
Die Methode der Kontrastechokardiographie wurde erstmals von Gramiak et al. 1968 zur Identifizierung kardialer Strukturen beschrieben. Sie beruht auf der ausgeprägten Reflexion der Ultraschallwellen durch peripher injizierte mikrofeine Lufteinschlüsse, die „Mikrokavitationen“(Meltzer et al. 1980). Die kontrastechographische Darstellung intrakardialer Flußverhältnisse erwies sich insbesondere von Nutzen zur qualitativen Erfassung von Klappeninsuffizienzen (Meltzer et al. 1981) und Rechts-linksShunts (Valdes-Cruz et al. 1976).
