Abstract
In order to detect Cd-related renal lesion as early as possible two populations were studied using the molecular weight related analysis of urinary proteins as a diagnostic tool. One group were Cd-exposed workers and the other consisted out of people from the so called normal population. No distinct difference between the two groups could be detected, so that we feel that our data suggest, that the new protective arrangements at the workplace in modern industries are very well capable of reducing the risk to develop a Cd-related renal disease.
