Zusammenfassung
Die Erdatmosphäre wird nach ihrem Temperaturverlauf mit der Höhe in die Bereiche Troposphäre, Stratosphäre, Mesosphäre und Thermosphäre eingeteilt, wie Abb. 1 zeigt. Für die aktuelle Luftchemie ist die Troposphäre bis ca. 12 km Höhe und die sich daran anschließende Stratosphäre von besonderem Interesse. Die folgenden Ausführungen beschäftigen sich vorwiegend mit der Troposphäre, da dieser Bereich in enger Wechselwirkung mit dem Erdboden steht.
