Zusammenfassung
Bis zum Jahre 1964 endete die endoskopische Untersuchung des End- und Dickdarms mit Hilfe starrer Darmspiegel im unteren Sigmadrittel. Seit 1964 erstmals Fiberendoskope zur Verfügung standen, hat sich diese Methode in den letzten 20 Jahren zu einem Routineverfahren der Dickdarmdiagnostik entwickelt.
