Zusammenfassung

Die Adenokarzinome des gastro-ösophagealen Überganges werden häufig unter dem Sammelbegriff „Kardiakarzinom“ zusammengefaßt. Man sollte aus unserer Sicht dabei nur solche Adenokarzinome des gastro-ösophagealen Überganges als Kardiakarzinome bezeichnen, die eine abdomino-thorakale Resektion, ggf. eine abdomino-transmediastinale zervikale Resektion zur radikalen Entfernung des Tumors notwendig machen.
