Zusammenfassung
Das von Wolff, Parkinson und White 1930 beschriebene Syndrom (WPW-Syndrom) ist charakterisiert durch eine Doppelerregung der Herzkammern (Wolff et al. 1930). Zunächst kommt es zur Erregung vorhofnaher Kammeranteile durch eine vorzeitige Erregungswelle über akzessorische Leitungsbahnen (Präexzitation), danach folgt eine Kammerdepolarisation durch die über die normale AV-Leitungsbahn laufende Erregungswelle (Abb. 1). Zur konventionellen und neueren Nomenklatur akzessorischer Leitungsbahnen s. Tabelle 1 (vgl. Schlepper 1983).
