Zusammenfassung

Grundsätzlich ist es richtig, daß bei einer vorwiegend internistisch-chemotherapeutischen und radiologischen Maßnahmen zugewandten Veranstaltung auch der Chirurg zu Wort kommt. Es ist wohl unbestritten, daß beim nichtkleinzelligen Bronchuskarzinom die chirurgische Eliminierung die einzige Chance für eine dauerhafte Heilung darstellt. Aus Zeitgründen soll deshalb darüber nicht länger diskutiert werden. Voraussetzung ist auch hier natürlich ein exaktes Staging. Vorgestellt werden sollen einmal die Erwartungszahlen, die Joss, Goldhirsch und Brunner 1980 aus der internationalen Literatur ermittelt haben, gegenübergestellt unseren Ergebnissen in den Stadien I, II und III der nichtkleinzelligen Bronchuskarzinome. Daraus geht hervor, daß diese Zahlen mindestens erreicht, teilweise weit übertroffen werden können (Tabelle 1).
