Zusammenfassung

In den letzten Jahren hat sich die Histologie der malignen Melanome vom einfachen diagnostischen Werkzeug zu einem wichtigen prognostischen Parameter entwickelt. Es hat sich gezeigt, daß die genauere Typisierung der Melanome [4] mit Differenzierung der Eindringtiefe [4, 13] und koordiniert mit Dickenmessung des Primärtumors nach Breslow [1,2] eine zuverlässige Basis für die Beurteilung der Prognose bietet. Dazu kommen noch andere Kriterien wie Ulzeration des Tumors, Mitoserate [10, 12], prognostischer Index [18], Regression des Tumors, Verteilung des entzündlichen Infiltrates im Tumor und anderes mehr.
