Epidemiologische Studien haben die Aufgabe, über Ermittlung der auf eine bestimmte Bevölkerungsgruppe bezogenen Inzidenz einer Erkrankung sowie Erfassung korrespondierender Einflußgrößen, denen diese Bevölkerungsgruppe ausgesetzt ist, Aussagen über Häufigkeit, Verlauf und das dynamische Erscheinungsbild im Beobachtungszeitraum zu ermöglichen.
