Dolobene-Gel enthält neben hochdosiertem Heparin und Dexpanthenol das Dimethylsulfoxid (DMSO), welches die Permeation von exogen applizierten Substanzen durch die Haut erleichtert. Neben der Trägerfunktion wirkt DMSO analgetisch und antiphlogistisch.
