Abstract

This investigation tests the body’s ability to form normal amounts of testosterone. It can be done at any age. The main role of the HCG test (e.g., Predalon, Primogonyl, Pregnesin) is to differentiate between bilateral anorchism and abdominal cryptorchidism. It is also used to detect disturbances of testosterone biosynthesis in prepubertal children.
