Zusammenfassung

Zwei Hauptprobleme haben bisher die erfolgreiche Transplantation von allogenen Langerhansschen Inseln beim Menschen zur Behandlung des Diabetes mellitus verhindert:

  1. 1.

    die Unfähigkeit, genügend gereinigte Inseln aus einem Pankreas herzustellen und

  2. 2.

    die mangelnde Beherrschung der Abstoßungsprobleme.
