Hypersaline Ecosystems

Part of the book series: Ecological Studies ((ECOLSTUD,volume 53))

Abstract

Salinas and salt marshes (hydrosalinas) of the world have often been studied by biologists (Chapman 1974, 1975, 1976), but the many salinas and sabkhas of the Sinai Peninsula have never been investigated in detail, and only a few papers dealing with them have been published (Migahid et al. 1959, Danin 1981, 1983).
