Abstract

Since the first description of a “novel portable/wearable equilibrium peritoneal dialysis technique” by Popovich et al. [1], continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) has assumed increasing importance as a therapeutic modality for adults and children with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) [2–12].
