Abstract

A series of works on studying self-maintained dissipative structures in plasma (the T-layer) have been performed in our Institute and registered as Scientific discovery No 55. Later on these works have been experimentally confirmed. References for the “T-layer” problem can be found in [34,14]. Numerical techniques in combination with analytical research are an efficient tool for investigating many problems concerned with nonlinear media. These investigations are of fundamental importance since they give way to new conceptions of the phenomena in nonlinear media and contribute much to the solution of modern global problems of energetics (plasma physics problems), ecology, active biological media, cosmogony, universal field theory, and so on. They are also essential for the development of various technological problems.
