Extremely Arid Subzonobiome VII (rIII) of the Central Asian Deserts
Central Asia consists of a series of large basins separated by high mountains. It is a huge area, most of which has no external drainage. Only in the south and east do the upper courses of the great river systems of India, Southeast Asia and China extend into this area.
