Zusammenfassung

Viele Patienten mit einem Bronchialkarzinom leiden an uncharakteristischen Beschwerden wie Leistungsschwäche, Abgeschlagenheit, Inappetenz, Fieber und Gewichtsverlust. Im Gegensatz hierzu bestehen bei einer kleinen Anzahl von Bronchialkarzinomträgern mannigfaltige Symptome, die nicht im direkten Zusammenhang mit einer Tumorinfiltration stehen (Bariety et al. 1964; Daughtry et al. 1967; Mlczoch u. Schnetz 1973; Rassam u. Anderson 1975). Neben den direkten Zeichen des primären oder metastatischen Wachstums gibt es eine Reihe unspezifischer Wirkungen, die sich extrathorakal, aber nicht metastatisch bedingt manifestieren, jedoch als direkte Tumorfolge anzusehen sind. Gelegentlich treten daher paraneoplastische Syndrome bei okkultem Bronchialkarzinom zuerst in Erscheinung (Pate et al. 1960).
