Zusammenfassung
Bei der Planung statistischer Experimente setzt der Praktiker immer Blöcke ein, wenn dies irgend möglich ist. Blöcke sind homogene Gruppen von Versuchseinheiten. Mit ihnen schafft man möglichst gleichwertige Ausgangsbedingungen für den Versuch und erzielt damit eine Verringerung der Fehlerbreite. In der Regel wird dabei vorausgesetzt, daß die Versuchseinheiten innerhalb eines Blocks unabhängig voneinander reagieren. Doch bestehen in vielen praktischen Situationen Interaktionen zwischen diesen Einheiten, je nachdem diese im Block benachbart sind oder nicht.
