Rabies Situation in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina
This presentation summarizes the work carried out by the health authorities of Argentina to control urban rabies. The cooperation of the Pan American Zoonoses Center in the national program consisted in furnishing information on sources of canine vaccine, controlling the quality of the vaccine used in the program during the first half of the period reported (1976–1983), training personnel in rabies diagnosis and in the production and quality control of vaccines, providing reference reagents for those purposes, and offering advisory services on these matters and on control programs.
