  • Chapter
The External Fixator

Abstract

If the “reduction first” strategy is followed when applying the threaded external fixator, there will seldom be problems of axial malalignment once the frame has been assembled. However, in the event that a minor error of axial alignment is recognized after the frame is erected, it may be possible to correct the error without dismantling the device.
