Part of the book series: Health Systems Research ((HEALTH))

Abstract

Despite the modern management schemes of burn therapy, infection remains the most important complication of major thermal injuries. Complex immunology interactions predispose burnt patients to septicemia as underlined by J. NINNEMANN and many authors. The purpose of this work is to determine, from the analysis of the data of the humoral and cellular immunology, a predictive index of septicemia.
