Angeregt durch die Arbeiten von Härle u. Duker (1976), Champy et al. (1978) und Luhr (1979) werden an der Nordwestdeutschen Kieferklinik Hamburg seit 1979 Miniplattenosteosynthesen zur Frakturversorgung und bei Osteotomien des KieferGesichtsbereiches routinemäßig verwendet.
